Ethiopia, China sign agreement on trade, economic cooperation (2)

The minister said Ethiopia is keen to further strengthening the relations it has with China.

"The relation is very important for our development. We will continue strengthening the relation between our two countries," he said.

Jinag Yaoping said the agreement reached between the two sides would help the existing relations go further.

He said the cooperation between the two countries would continue, particularly at this time when Ethiopia is implementing the five-year Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) for which China has similar experience.

The Chinese vice minister has also stated the contribution of Chinese companies to Ethiopia's development in different sectors.

Wondirad Mandefro has given a certificate of acknowledgement to Jiang for the provision of emergency food aid by the Chinese government.
