"Experimental Monkeys", the work of Chinese photographer Li Feng, won second prizes in categories of economy and science at 9th China International Press Photo Contest.
Li, from Yi Chang, central China's Hubei province, had won the best animal picture in the National Geographic Society's 2007 Global Photography Contest for his work "Caged Monkeys Waiting for Experiment".
Monkeys are highly similar to human in the gene, organization structure, immunity, physiology and metabolism and therefore they are irreplaceable in the testing of medicine, biological research and drugs.
