Born in 1987, Liu Shishi, also known as Cecilia Liu, made her acting debut on TV series "The Moon and the Wind" and became well-known for her lead role in TV series "Scarlet Heart," which won her several awards. She began taking on movie projects in 2012 and starred in four films over two years time. Due to her unique personality and rising popularity, she was rewarded with the title of one of the "Four Little Dan actresses" in China by Southern Metropolis Entertainment Weekly.
