Chinese President Xi Jinping delivers a speech at Indonesian Parliament in Jakarta, Indonesia at 11 a.m. on Oct.3, 2013. He is the first foreign state head to give speech in the Indonesian Parliament.
At the scene, People's Daily Online journalists interview the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa before Chinese president’s speech. Marty said he was much honored that President Xi Jinping visited Indonesia as first stop of his trip and agreed to lift ties between China and Indonesia to comprehensive strategic partnership.
Marty also said that Xi’s visit was very constructive and was a new milestone in bilateral relations. He hops that the two sides will enhance future cooperation in trade and personnel exchanges.
