Jinshanling Great Wall is probably one of the most beautiful and best preserved parts of the Great Wall. It’s the longest sections of the Wall with many original hiking features. It’s located on the junction of Miyun County of Beijing and Luanping County of Heibei province. This section of the Great Wall was initially built in 1368 in the Ming Dynasty and in 1567, rebuilding of the Wall was mainly directed by General Qi Jiguang. It starts from the Wangjinglou Tower in the east and ends at Longyukou in the west. The total length of this section is 10.5km long with 5 passes, 67 towers and 2 beacon towers. Jinshanling Great Wall is now a national scenic spot and has been listed in the “World Culture Heritage”.
If you are looking for breathtaking views with a relatively peaceful walk, then Jinshanling Great Wall is very suitable for you.
