A sightseeing tower higher than the Eiffel Tower in Paris opened in Macao to visitors on the eve of the second anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.

China Attends First WTO Meeting as Full Member

Reports say China will send deputy foreign trade minister Zhang Xiang to serve as the country's first ambassador to WTO.

Bricks Engraved with Words Found on the Great Wall

The picture shows bricks engraved with words found on a section of Great Wall at Quanshuihe village in Miyun District in Beijing Tuesday, December 18, 2001. A large number of bricks engraved with words are found by Great Wall Research Council of China Association of Cultural Relics during their investigation to the section of Great Wall built in Ming Dynasty(1368-1644). The bricks provide important materials for the research of the Great Wall.
