Chinese Vice-Premier Meets Japanese Guests

Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo met Tuesday with members of a delegation from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) headed by Takehiko Hasegawa, chairman of the Board of Yamaha Motor Company.

Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo met Tuesday with members of a delegation from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) headed by Takehiko Hasegawa, chairman of the Board of Yamaha Motor Company.

Wu said that China and Japan have enjoyed a long history of cooperation in the field of motorcycles, and expressed hope that the two sides would further the cooperation.

Hasegawa said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations, and Yamaha Motor Company hopes to promote its cooperation with China.

Wu and the visitors also exchanged views on the protection of intellectual property.

The guests are here at the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
