U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney arrived in London on Sunday on the first part of a 10-day mission to bolster support for the U.S. war against terrorism.

On his first overseas trip as vice president, Cheney is scheduled to meet British Prime Minister Tony Blair on Monday to review the passage of six months since the September 11 attacks on America, which triggered the U.S.-led war on terrorism.

Cheney will visit 11 countries other than Britain -- including four bordering Iraq that was labeled an "axis of evil" member by the Bush administration.

After London, Cheney will visit Kuwait, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Turkey, Oman, Jordan, Israel and Yemen. He also will visit U.S. troops in the region. There is speculation that the U.S. is planning action to topple Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
