Chung Young-ho, a 47-year-old South Korean diplomat in the Philippines who had been missing since Thursday, has been confirmed dead, the South Korean Foreign Ministry announced Monday.

Mr. Chung's body was found near Metro Manila Quezon City on Friday by a passer-by, and delivered by the Filipino police to a nearby coroner. South Korean embassy officials confirmed that the body was that of Mr. Chung. Police said that the third secretary died early Friday.
