Japan to Provide Aids to Cambodia

Japan and Cambodia Thursday signed three documents under which the Japanese government will provide 12.86 million U.S. dollars in grant to Cambodia.

Japan and Cambodia Thursday signed three documents under which the Japanese government will provide 12.86 million U.S. dollars in grant to Cambodia.

The grant aids will be used by the Royal government for execution of the following projects: improvement of equipment for demining activities; rural drinking water supply in peri-urban of Phnom Penh city; and supply of TV programs to the National Television of Kampuchea.

Japan is the Cambodia's largest donor, promising to give 118 million U.S. dollars at last year's international donors meeting in Tokyo.
