Chief of PLA General Staff Meets Equatorial Guinean Guests

Fu Quanyou, chief of the general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), met with Ebendeng Nsomo, a defense ministerial-level delegate from Equatorial Guinea, and his party on Friday.

Fu Quanyou, chief of the general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), met with Ebendeng Nsomo, a defense ministerial-level delegate from Equatorial Guinea, and his party on Friday.

Fu, also a member of the Central Military Commission, said thatthe bilateral relations between China and Equatorial Guinea have maintained a good momentum since they forged diplomatic ties 32 years ago, and they have cooperated well in many spheres.

The two countries have always supported and worked closely witheach other in international affairs, and China is grateful for Equatorial Guinea's adherence to the One-China principle, Fu said.

The military relations between the two nations have also made satisfactory progress, Fu said, adding that China's armed forces are ready to develop relations with their Equatorial Guinea counterparts in all fields.

Fu also briefed the guests on China's domestic affairs.

Ebendeng Nsomo said Equatorial Guinea adheres to the One-China principle and attaches importance to developing military cooperation with China.

He said the two countries share views on many bilateral and multilateral issues, and Equatorial Guinea hopes to further develop its friendly relations with China.
