Experts Discuss Government's Role After WTO Entry

About 200 Chinese and foreign experts met in Beijing Sunday at the first Sino-American symposium on public administration, to discuss how the Chinese government can adapt to the country's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

About 200 Chinese and foreign experts met in Beijing Sunday at the first Sino-American symposium on public administration, to discuss how the Chinese government adapts to the country's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Topics at the two-day symposium, hosted by the Beijing-based Renmin University of China, cover government achievement appraisal, public organizations and human resources, crises management and e-government.

Experts from the United States, Australia, the Republic of Korea and Japan were among those attending the symposium.



China's Entry into the WTO
China's entry to the WTO is a major event for the country, and the world as a whole.

Governments, business circles and social organizations all over the world have sent congratulatory messages to China's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, saying that China's entry will benefit its national economy, as well as encourage global economic growth and the improvement of the multilateral trade system.
