Englishman Hired as Chief Advisor of Yunnan Provincial Government

Sir Anthony S. Jolliffe, mayor of London in 1982-1983, was elected chairman of an advisory committee to the provincial government of Yunnan, southwest China, Sunday.

Sir Anthony S. Jolliffe, mayor of London in 1982-1983, was elected chairman of an advisory committee to the provincial government of Yunnan, southwest China, Sunday.

The advisory committee, set up in 1998, has 75 Chinese and foreign members. It has made contribution to economic development in the land-locked province.
