Landslide caused by rainstorms early Monday have blocked traffic in a railway in Fujian Province, east China.

Local railway administration sources said close to 100 meters of the railway between Nanpingnan and Yangdanzai stations in the northern part of the province had been covered by mud and rocks.

The damage has forced trains to five destinations to change routes, blocked 10 more and delayed 12 others.

Sources said repairs were being made immediately and one train was able to pass through the damaged section at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour at 4:00 in the afternoon.

Fujian has reportedly suffered from rainstorms since June 10, with eight northern counties recording 300 millimeters of rainfall.
