French PM Unveils New Center-Right Government

French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin on Monday evening unveiled his new government, one day after the center-right parties backing President Jacques Chirac won a sweeping parliamentary election.

French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin on Monday evening unveiled his new government, one day after the center-right parties backing President Jacques Chirac won a sweeping parliamentary election.

The members of Raffarin's interim cabinet, which was formed in May following Chirac's presidential victory, stayed on their posts. ����

Twelve new junior ministers joined the team, which now comprises of 15 ministers, 11 delegate ministers and 12 state secretaries. They are:
