Russia Denounces Latest Jerusalem Bombing

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov condemned the latest suicide blast in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov condemned the latest suicide blast in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

He said Russia opposed all terrorist attacks in the Middle East and such behavior could only aggravate the already critical situation.

He said the Middle East issue could only be settled by political means.

Russia has been coordinating its efforts towards resolving the Middle East crisis with the United Nations, the United States, and the European Union, but "despite our very active efforts, we have not yet managed to attain a desirable result," said the minister.

A suicide bombing ripped through a crowded Jerusalem bus on Tuesday morning, killing 19 people.
