Senior Chinese Military Leader Meets Brunei Guests

Zhang Wannian, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, met in Beijing Friday with Jaafar Aziz, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces and his party.

Zhang Wannian, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, met here Friday with Jaafar Aziz, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces and his party.

Zhang said China and Brunei had been good neighbors since ancient times. The development of friendly cooperation with Bruneiwas the fixed policy of the Chinese government, which valued friendly relations with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) armed forces, including Brunei, to benefit regional peace and stability.

Jaafar expressed his hope to develop the military cooperation of two nations in a wider, deeper direction.
