Al-Qaeda Claims Responsibility for Suicide Attack in Tunisia: Al-Jazeera

A spokesman of the al-Qaeda organization claimed on Sunday that the group was responsible for adeadly suicide attack on a Tunisian synagogue in April, which killed 21 people, including 14 Germans.

A spokesman of the al-Qaeda organization claimed on Sunday that the group was responsible for adeadly suicide attack on a Tunisian synagogue in April, which killed 21 people, including 14 Germans.

The spokesman made the remarks in a voice-recording broadcast onSunday by the Qatar-based al-Jazeera satellite TV channel.

It was the first direct claim of involvement from the militant network in the explosion near El Ghriba synagogue on the resort island of Djerba.

Following the incident, German cabinet ministers said that therewas evidence proving that the blast was connected to the network.
