Chinese Military Leader Meets Moldovan Guests

Fu Quanyou, chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, held talks in Beijing Tuesday with Victor Gaiciuc, Moldovan Minister of Defence.

Fu Quanyou, chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, held talks in Beijing Tuesday with Victor Gaiciuc, Moldovan Minister of Defence.

Fu, also a member of the Central Military Commission said Gaiciuc's visit is an important thing in bilateral military relations. The two peoples have a long history of friendship although there is much distance between the two countries. Cooperation in different areas has been strengthened and deepened since the establishment of diplomatic relations 10 years ago.

Fu also said the Chinese army values its relations with the Moldovan army. China is willing, together with its Moldovan friends, to enhance bilateral cooperative and friendly relations to a new level.

Gaiciuc said, Moldova appreciates the support China has given. In recent years, bilateral relations have developed rapidly. Moldova hopes to increase cooperation with China, in order to promote regional peace and stability.
