Chinese Naval Ships Visit Ukraine

A flotilla of two Chinese naval ships sailed on Tuesday into the port of Sevastopol,on the southern tip of Ukraine's Crimea peninsula, for a three-daygoodwill visit, the first by warships of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

A flotilla of two Chinese naval ships sailed on Tuesday into the port of Sevastopol,on the southern tip of Ukraine's Crimea peninsula, for a three-daygoodwill visit, the first by warships of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The flotilla of the guided missile destroyer Qingdao and the supply ship Taicang received a warm welcome from Ukraine's navy topbrass and local people of Chinese origin.

The flotilla, which sailed out of Qingdao on May 15 on a maidenround-the-globe voyage, visited Singapore, Egypt and Turkey beforearriving at the Ukrainian Black Sea port.
