Chinese NPC Delegation Arrives in Addis Ababa

A delegation of China's National People's Congress (NPC) arrived here Friday for a five-day official visit to Ethiopia.

A delegation of China's National People's Congress (NPC) arrived here Friday for a five-day official visit to Ethiopia.

Upon his arrival, Xu Jialu, vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and also head of the delegation, told reporters that hisvisit to Ethiopia is aimed at promoting the existing friendly cooperation between the two countries.

During his stay, Xu is expected to meet Ethiopian President Girma Wolde-Giorgis and other senior government officials.

Prior to the visit to Ethiopia, the delegation visited Eritrea and Djibouti.
