Chinese Naval Ships End Visit to Ukraine

A flotilla of two Chinese naval ships ended on Friday its three-day goodwill visit to Ukraine's Black Sea port of Sevastopol.

A flotilla of two Chinese naval ships ended on Friday its three-day goodwill visit to Ukraine's Black Sea port of Sevastopol.

Ukraine's navy topbrass and local people of Chinese origin saw off the flotilla of the guided missile destroyer Qingdao and the supply ship Taicang at the port, on the southern tip of Ukraine's Crimea Peninsula.

The visit was the first of its kind by warships of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The flotilla, which sailed out of Qingdao on May 15 on a maidenround-the-globe voyage, visited Singapore, Egypt and Turkey beforearriving at Sevastopol Tuesday.
