Liaoning Gets Investment from Taiwan

Investment contracts to the tune of 827 million U.S. dollars were signed Friday in Shenyang between businessmen from the provinces of Liaoning and Taiwan.

Investment contracts to the tune of 827 million U.S. dollars were signed Friday in Shenyang between businessmen from the provinces of Liaoning and Taiwan.

Of this 510 million U.S. dollars was invested by Taiwan businessmen who are in Liaoning in northeast China on a tour of sightseeing which lasts five days beginning from June 26.

The 28 business contracts signed during the first two days cover a wide range of areas such as auto spare parts, foodstuff processing, chemical products, aquiculture and jointly running schools.

During their stay in the Chinese mainland, the 240-plus delegates from the Taiwan business sector will also have a study tour of Dalian, a port city in Liaoning.
