An Indian Airlines (IA) aircraftcarrying 139 persons from Guwahati in Assam state, east India ,to Delhi made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport Friday evening after the pilot noticed low pressure in the hydraulic system during the flight.

All the passengers are safe, the Press Trust of India quoted IAsources as saying.

The pilot noticed low pressure in the "green" hydraulic system (nose wheel steering) and made a normal landing at 4:45 pm local time, they said.

They said aircraft had to be towed since nose steering was affected due to the low hydraulic pressure, adding the affected part was replaced and the aircraft operated the evening flight to Bombay.
