The Internet has at present been attacked frequently by "Hackers" and it has become a headache for many software companies to maintain the safety of the net. And so some "learned persons" who are good at the trick have become the "hacker-talents" much sought for by many software companies.

"Good cat catches the rat"
At the invitation venue for electronic and computer technicians held in the middle of the month several network companies put up notice to invite technicians of information safety for their websites. A person of a software company said that the work for the maintenance of information safety needs high technique and experience. It won't do for a technician to have only experience or technique to maintain the information safety. Hackers have rich experience in attacking other websites and a good knowledge of software and they know well the network operation and the loophole of it. Therefore, it is quite "apt" to get them engaged in the maintenance work for information safety.

As learned, it has long been a secret known to all for relevant companies to engage hackers for the maintenance of network information security, nicknaming them experts in combating hackers, or known as CHO (Chief Hacker Officer). For these companies, it is a practical doing to prevent the attack of hackers in order to protect the information safety of their networks. A view in rife nowadays is "whichever cat is a good cat that catches the rat".

"Make full of technical forces from among the people"
As holds Dai Yingxia, Professor of the key laboratory for the national information safety of the research institution of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, up to now, there prevails a great misunderstanding of hackers, thinking that they are morally degenerate.

We should draw a clear demarcation line between hacker and those committing crimes by using hacker techniques. Hackers have a good knowledge of network and website and a higher technique. Most of them have a proper job and a sense of justice and patriotism. Therefore, it is absolutely all right to make full use of their superiority in technique in service of the society.

An anonymous teacher of computer science and technology department of Tsinghua University told the reporter, saying that the real hacker has a higher technique and a rich imagination. They pay a lot of attention to the weak points in software and operational system, able to find out loopholes in them. If they are employed for a test against the attack of hackers by bringing their talents into full play it goes without saying that China can put up a system for national information security.

As learned there is a great need in society for talents who are competent in keeping safe the network operation. However, the education in the network information security has just made a debut in China and the training of talents has lagged far behind the needs in society.

So it is no strange phenomenon for us to be short of such talents in the aspect for which we are landed in a soup of "quite a lot of people are doing the work of security but only a few have an understanding of it". Therefore, greater efforts must be made for the training of personnel of network information security as experts appeal.
