46th Conference of IFHP to Take Place in China

The 46th conference of the International Federation for Housing and Planning (IFHP) is to take place in north China's Tianjin municipality in September.

The 46th conference of the International Federation for Housing and Planning (IFHP) is to take place in north China's Tianjin municipality in September.

A series of forums on the sustainable development of cities, city transformation and rebuilding as well as city expansion will be held during the conference.

Established in 1913 and based in The Hague, the IFHP is an international organization with more than 50 member countries, including Britain, Germany, France, the United States, Japan and the Netherlands.

Following a long-held tradition, the conference will encourage the participation of university students. Students from 15 of China's prestigious universities, such as Qinghua University and Tianjin University, will be invited.

The four-day conference will be officially opened on September 8, with 600 participants, including experts from China and abroad,government representatives and students.
