Daimler Chrysler CEO Schrempp said in an interview with German Press Agency that the group does not exclude possibility of manufacturing Mercedes-Bens sedan cars in China.

In the meanwhile, the CEO expressed confidence in China's auto market.

Schrempp said that the group is mulling over its China plan. As it is confident of China's market, it has expanded investment in Beijing Jeep Corp (BJC) lately, with business covering Chrysler and Mitsubishi.

The company does not exclude the possibility of manufacturing Mercedes-Bens sedan cars in China, according to the CEO.

As reported, BJC has begun Grand Cherokee manufacturing last September and will manufacture two types of new cars to cater to Chinese market in the coming two years.

In accordance with the agreement concluded by BJC and Mitsubishi on June 4, 2002, the Pajero roadster production line will enter China in December of this year, and will be put into production in the first quarter of next year.
