Brazilian international Rivaldo Friday announced his wish to participate in the Athens 2004 Olympics.

Brazilian international Rivaldo Friday announced his wish to participate in the Athens 2004 Olympics.

At a press conference Rivaldo admitted it will be hard for him to be at his top level by the next World Cup to be held in Germanyin 2006. By that time he will be 34.

"Plenty of excellent players are appearing, so it will be harder to be called to the rooster," Rivaldo said.

As well, the Brazilian midfielder insisted he does not have anyproblem with Barcelona and added he would return with discipline to the club on July 22, "as agreed", he said.

"I still have one year left in my contract and I want to honor it," he said.

In relation to his physical condition after the World Cup, Rivaldo pointed out he is tired "but in excellent conditions".

He explained that hours prior to the final he had to take pain-killers for his ankle, but guaranteed that now he is "fully recovered" and ready for the European season.
