Iraq Vows to Foil Hostile US Plans

Iraq on Sunday stressed that the Iraqi people are united under the leadership of President Saddam Hussein to foil any hostile plan of the United States, the official Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.

Iraq on Sunday stressed that the Iraqi people are united under the leadership of President Saddam Hussein to foil any hostile plan of the United States, the official Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.

Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan made the remarks during his meeting with visiting U.S. radical black leader Louis Farrakhan.

Ramadan told Farrakhan that "the Iraqi people have the will to foil any U.S.-Zionist (Israeli) plans to interfere in their internal affairs."

"The most fearful thing for the evil U.S. administration is the strong attachment between President Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi people and their readiness to exert efforts and sacrifice for the security of Iraq," Ramadan said.

Ramadan blasted the U.S. policy toward Iraq as "criminal" and "terrorist".

Farrakhan slammed the U.S. policy toward Iraq, the INA said.

Farrakhan, who has denounced Washington's policy toward Baghdad,arrived here on Friday. Upon his arrival, he said his trip was aimed at preventing possible U.S. military attacks on Iraq.

U.S. President George W. Bush has branded Iraq as part of an "axis of evil" and made no secret that he wants to launch military onslaught against Iraq.

According to U.S. media report on Friday, a top-secret U.S. military document has outlined a massive, three-pronged attack on Iraq by land, sea and air with as many as 250,000 troops and hundreds of warplanes.

Iraq has remained adamant and vowed not to be scared by U.S. threats.
