Spain Beats China Twice in World Men's Volleyball League

China lost to Spain twice in the PoolB second round of the 2002 World Men's Volleyball League in the weekend in the Spanish city of Dijon and Aviles to suffer their fourth consecutive loss in this season's League.

China lost to Spain twice in the PoolB second round of the 2002 World Men's Volleyball League in the weekend in the Spanish city of Dijon and Aviles to suffer their fourth consecutive loss in this season's League.

In their first match on July 6, the Spaniards turned up the heat to catch out the Chinese and beat China 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-17).

But it was not always easy for the hosts. China went out strongly in the second match on July 7. Their enthusiasm style of play caused Spain some problems. After winning the first set 25-19,China attempted to claim their first win in this year's League but were foiled by some mistakes in attacking allowing the following three sets to go to Spain, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

After the defeat, China now ranked third in the Pool B after former champions Italy and Spain.

Spain bt China, 3-0, (25-22, 25-23, 25-17)
