China Appoints New Commissioner in Macao SAR

The central government of China Tuesday appointed Wan Yongxiang special commissioner of the Office of Special Commissioner of the Chinese Foreign Ministry in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), succeeding Yuan Tao.

The central government of China Tuesday appointed Wan Yongxiang special commissioner of the Office of Special Commissioner of the Chinese Foreign Ministry in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), succeeding Yuan Tao.

Yuan had been serving as Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in Macao since 1999, the year when Macao returned to China and the Office of Special Commissioner was set up.
