Chinese Entrepreneurs Show Confidence in Economy

Chinese entrepreneurs maintained a strong confidence in the country's macro-economy in the second quarter of this year, according to a report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Tuesday.

The entrepreneurs confidence index in the second quarter of this year reached 119.2 points, 0.4 point higher than in the previous quarter, the NBS report on the performance index of Chinese enterprises said.

The survey shows that in the second quarter of this year, confidence of entrepreneurs in all trades was stable.

The entrepreneurs confidence in fixed assets investment also kept growing, the report said.

However, the entrepreneurs confidence index of state-owned enterprises dropped slightly, the NBS said.

The NBS predicted the entrepreneurs confidence index would remain stable in the third quarter of this year, nearly the same as in the second quarter.
