Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs to Visit S. Korea

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoriko Kawaguchi will pay an official visit to the Republic of Korea from July 12 to 14, 2002, at the invitation by the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoriko Kawaguchi will pay an official visit to the Republic of Korea from July 12 to 14, 2002, at the invitation by the Government of the Republic of Korea.

During the visit, Minister Kawaguchi will participate in the ROK-Japan Foreign Ministers' Talks and pay a courtesy call on President Kim Dae-jung.

During the ROK-Japan Foreign Ministers' Talks, the two ministers will exchange views on a wide range of issues including the policy toward DPRK regarding the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula, ways to promote ROK-Japan relations after the joint hosting of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and ways to promote bilateral cooperation in the international arena.
