Foreign Ministry Commissioner Hails Macao's Development

The Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government headed by Edmund Ho Hau Wah has made outstanding achievements since Macao returned to the motherland more than two years ago, Yuan Tao, the outgoing special commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR, noted Monday.

The Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government headed by Edmund Ho Hau Wah has made outstanding achievements since Macao returned to the motherland more than two years ago, Yuan Tao, the outgoing special commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR, noted Monday.

The SAR government has successfully implemented the "one country, two systems" principle while managing government affairs in line with law, Yuan made the remarks when he bid farewell to Chief Executive Edmund Ho.

Yuan said he is pleased to witness the hand-over of Macao, establishment of the SAR government and development of Macao as the first commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR.

Edmund Ho spoke highly of the efforts made by Yuan and his commission on Macao's foreign affairs.

Yuan's post will soon be replaced by Wan Yongxiang with approval from the State Council.
