Chinese Vice-premier Meets Thai Guests

China's Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo met Monday with the Thai deputy prime minister and finance minister Somkid Jatusripitak and a delegation led by him.

China's Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo met Monday with the Thai deputy prime minister and finance minister Somkid Jatusripitak and a delegation led by him.

Wu briefed delegation members on China's economic development, saying it performed better than expected in the first six months of this year.

He said China encourages its businesses to increase cooperationwith their foreign counterparts, and hopes that businesses of the two coutries will increase cooperation in investment and trade.

Somkid said he has visited Beijing four times and each time found great changes in China's social and economic development. Heexpressed that he is convinced much of China's potential has yet to be tapped and Thailand is willing to learn from China's success.
