Pakistan to Promote Tourism with China

Chinese tourists will be given seven days' landing permit on arrival at Sust in the Pakistan-China border, said Deputy Managing Director Hussain Chaudhry of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC).

Chinese tourists will be given seven days' landing permit on arrival at Sust in the Pakistan-China border, said Deputy Managing Director Hussain Chaudhry of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC).

Presiding over a meeting here on Saturday, Chaudhry said that the Ministry of Interior on the request of the PTDC has accorded approval in this respect to promote tourism with China.

Chaudhry said the Ministry of Tourism has approved PTDC's participation in the forthcoming China Tourism Exposition being held in Beijing from August 28 to 31, 2002.

The PTDC will participate in this exposition with full preparation, which includes printing of special tour packages and informative material in Chinese language for free distribution at the exposition, he added.

He said the PTDC will also dub its documentary film into Chinese language which will be projected at the venue.

All the participants in the meeting gave their full assurance and support to the PTDC in its efforts to promote tourism activities between Pakistan and China.
