Cuba, Fiji Establish Diplomatic Ties

The governments of Cuba and Fiji on Friday signed a document in the Fijian town of Nadi on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Cuban press reported Saturday.

The governments of Cuba and Fiji on Friday signed a document in the Fijian town of Nadi on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Cuban press reported Saturday.

The document was inked by Fijian Foreign Minister Kaliopate Tavola and Cuban Minister of Government Ricardo Cabrisas, who was in Nadi for an international conference, said the state-run dailies Granma and Juventud Rebelde.

Fiji is the 176th country that has established diplomatic relations with Cuba.
