China could not stop Spain's winning momentum and blew a 2-0 lead before going down to 3-2 on Sunday in a Pool B match of the 2002 World Men's Volleyball League.

After the victory, Spain had an unbroken 8-win record in the Pool and will advanced into the final with one round left.

China, which were eliminated from the final, produced a scintillating attacking display to seal a deserved win in the first two sets, 25-23, 25-19. Spain soon geared up in the following sets and began to exert their overwhelming power after their captain Prenafeta Cosme were substituted on the court.

China made lots of unforced errors in blocking and attacking and conceded the third set 25-21.

The forth and final sets are mere repetition of the third one as the visitor firmly hold on their advantage and won 27-25, 19-17.

"We have chances to win the match, but we let it slip away." said Di Anhe, the head coach of Chinese team, "We didn't performedwell in the key moments and made many unforced errors. Our playersare too young and inexperienced."

Spain's coach Francisco Hervas split the match into two parts, he said, "One part is the first two sets, China defeated us with fast attacking, they could do anything on the court."

"The other part in the following sets after our captain Cosme was on, we fought back. China have chances, but they lost them."

Cosme said Spain would have the chance to claim the top in the Pool after the win.

China will face Venezuela on July 27 and 28 in Beijing, while Spain will clash with another powerhouse Italy.
