Cambodian King Leaves for Beijing
Cambodia King Norodom Sihanouk, accompanied by Queen Monineath Sihanouk, left Phnom Penh Monday morning for Beijing to have a regular medical check up there.

The king was seen off at the airport by Senate President Chea Sim, National Assembly President Prince Norodom Ranariddh and members of the royal family as well as foreign diplomats includingChinese Charge d'affaires to Cambodia Zhang Jinfeng.
The 79-year-old monarch, who frequently seeks medical care in Beijing and keeps a residence there, last returned from the Chinese capital in January. While he is not seriously ill, he has had recurring ailments such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
