A special airplane, fully equipped with emergency medical equipment and professional staff, was lately unveiled at Beijing airport, marking that China has opened professional aviation SOS services.

The "air hospital", which belongs to International SOS, the world's largest medical assistance company, can carry out emergency medical aid and assistance at international standards.

The alarm center for the plane will be on the alert around the clock. After receiving the phone seeking help, the alarm center will help doctors collect the patient's information and transport the patient to the nearest hospital by the SOS airplane, in which the patient will receive first aid.

As reported, the International SOS has given aviation emergency treatment to 74 patients last year.

Zhang Yi, director of International SOS China, said that the aviation rescue market looks to further increase in China and they will provide patients with the quickest transportation and professional rescue assistance via professional equipment and staff.
