Canadian Frigate Visits Shanghai

The Canadian Navy's 5,235-ton guided missile frigate Ottawa, led by Commander Paul Hendty, arrived in Shanghai on Thursday for a five-day goodwill visit.

The Canadian Navy's 5,235-ton guided missile frigate Ottawa, led by Commander Paul Hendty, arrived in Shanghai on Thursday for a five-day goodwill visit.

Upon arrival, Hendty and other senior officers on board met with leaders of the Shanghai Municipality and Commander Xu Jiwen of the Shanghai Naval Base. During the visit, Canadian officers and soldiers will visit Chinese warships.

This is the third time a Canadian warship has visited Shanghai.
