Zimbabwean Police Questions Opposition Leader

The Zimbabwean police on Thursday questioned the leader of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change in connection with the comments he made at a rally in Gwenda in May.

The Zimbabwean police on Thursday questioned the leader of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change in connection with the comments he made at a rally in Gwenda in May.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Wayne Bvudzijena told reporters that Morgan Tsvangirai had been called for questioning at the Harare Central Police Station over a statement which he made at Manana Business Center.

"We called him in for questioning this morning and we recorded a statement from him," he said.

However, Bvudzijena declined to reveal the actual comments which Tsvangirai has made.
