Chinese Communist Party greets South African counterpart oncongress

The Communist Party of China (CPC) has congratulated the South African Communist Party (SACP) on the convocation of its 11th congress.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) has congratulated the South African Communist Party (SACP) on the convocation of its 11th congress.

"On this solemn occasion of the 11th Congress of the South African Communist Party, we wish to extend to you, and through youto all the members of the SACP, our warm congratulations on behalfof the Communist Party of China and its entire membership," said amessage from the CPC Central Committee.

In the message, the CPC said the SACP is a political party witha glorious history of 81 years of struggle.

Over the decades, the SACP has devoted itself to the national liberation movement and made historic contributions to the eventual abolition of apartheid and the realization of democratic rights for the broad masses of the black people, it said.

After the birth of the new South Africa, the SACP has made great efforts in promoting national democratic advancement and economic development, and playing an important role in the political life of South Africa, it said.

"We are sincerely delighted at the great victories you have wonin the national liberation struggle and the achievements you have scored in the construction of new South Africa."

The message said the CPC and the SACP have been supporting eachother over a long period and have forged profound ties of friendship.

It expressed confidence by the CPC that good relations between the two parties will be consolidated in the new century on the basis of the principles of independence, complete equality, mutualrespect and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.

It said the strengthening of good relations between the two parties will contribute to the further development of the friendlycooperative relations between the two countries.
