Beijing Guo'an Tops Standings of China Soccer League

Beijing Guo'an defeated Shaanxi Lijun 2-1 in an away 12th round match of the Chinese soccer first division league in Baoji, Shaanxi province on Sunday.

Beijing Guo'an defeated Shaanxi Lijun 2-1 in an away 12th round match of the Chinese soccer first division league in Baoji, Shaanxi province on Sunday.

Paraguay's Casiano opened the scoring in the 40th minute for Beijing Guo'an. But two minutes later, Shaanxi Lijun levelled the score through Sandro Carlos Sotilli. Xu Yunlong headed the winninggoal for the guest team in the 70th minute.

After the victory, Beijing Guo'an collected 23 points to top the league standings with ten net goals.

Dalian Shide, former league leader, lost to Shandong Lunen 2-1 in an away match. both sides tied 0-0 in the first half. Shandong Lunen scored the two goals through Song Lihui and Shu Chang. Shandong also netted an own goal.

Dalian Shide now ranked second in the standings with 23 points and eight net goals.

Shenzhen Ping'an finished third with 21 points after drawing 0-0 with Tianjin Teda.

In Sunday's other three matches, Bayi Zhengbang tied Sichuan Kaimisen 2-2, Yunnan Hongta beat Shanghai Shenhua 1-0 and ShenyangJinde drew 1-1 with Liaoning Bird. In a match played on Saturday, Qingdao Hademen edged Shanghai Zhongyuan 1-0.
