Tanzanian, Chinese Ruling Parties to Strengthen Ties

The Tanzanian ruling Chama Cha Mupinduzi (CCM) party is willing to strengthen the current relations and friendship with the Communist Party of China (CPC), a CCM leader said Monday in Dar es Salaam.

The Tanzanian ruling Chama Cha Mupinduzi (CCM) party is willing to strengthen the current relations and friendship with the Communist Party of China (CPC), a CCM leader said Monday in Dar es Salaam.

The CCM would also like to share experiences with the CPC, saidCCM Secretary General Philip Mangula while meeting with a visitingCPC delegation headed by Bai Keming, secretary of CPC Hainan provincial committee.

During the meeting, Bai said that the CPC, the Chinese government and the Chinese people are very glad to see the progress in the economic and social life that the Tanzanian peoplehave enjoyed under the leadership of the CCM and Benjamin Mkapa, who is both the CCM chairman and the president of Tanzania.

Bai pointed out that the CPC attached great importance to the relationship with the CCM in the new era, saying that this relationship, created by the former leaders of the two countries, should be further expanded at present time.

The CPC delegation arrived in Dar es Salaam on July 28 for a three-day official
