Two US Soldiers Killed in Training Exercise

Two US soldiers were killed early Monday during a training exercise at Fort Hood, Texas State,when the tank they were in burst into flames, US Army officials said Monday.

Two US soldiers were killed early Monday during a training exercise at Fort Hood, Texas State,when the tank they were in burst into flames, US Army officials said Monday.

Nine other soldiers were slightly injured, mostly from smoke inhalation, the officials said.

The soldiers were part of the 4th Infantry Division, which is based at Fort Hood, Texas.

It was not clear what caused the fire to erupt in their tank. The Army has sent a team from Fort Rucker, Alabama, to investigatethe accident.
