Third Sino-US Investment Forum to be Held in August

The third Sino-US Investment Forum, sponsored by the United States and China Foundation, is scheduled to be held from August 28 to September 6 in four different venues of Qingdao, Shenyang, Beijing and Dalian.

President of the United States and China Foundation Larry Lee said Thursday that the forum would be attended by both Chinese andUS representatives from political, financial and business circles.

Guests would include William Bell, mayor of Durham City of the United States; William Harrison, president of American Havest Company; Jim Sobjail, president of American Exchange Company; and Nick Clements, a well-known US banker.

According to Lee, they would deliver speeches on the opportunities and practices of US investors in China, cooperation of friendly cities in fields of new and high technology as well asenvironmental protection, Chinese financial market potential, education and vocational training.

The forum would push forward investment and cooperation with exhibitions and consultations, project introductions and policy consultations as well as business and academic workshops, Lee said.

The forum has been held twice in the United States respectively in 2000 and 2001.
