Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves hit a record high of 155.27 billion US dollars at the endof July, according to news from Taiwan on Monday.

Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves hit a record high of 155.27 billion US dollars at the endof July, according to news from Taiwan on Monday.

The figure was 7.03 billion dollars higher than in June and wasup by 33.06 billion dollars from the end of last year.

The increase reflected a higher foreign exchange income surpluson the external trade front, termination of foreign currency deposit accounts and interest income from the reserves.
