Road Accident Leaves Five Dead, 25 Injured in NE China

A vehicle collision on Monday at 2.00 p.m. in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, left five dead and 25 others injured, local police sources say.

A vehicle collision on Monday at 2.00 p.m. in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, left five dead and 25 others injured, local police sources say.

The accident occurred when a large truck for an unknown reason crossed the central barrier of a road in the Taiping District of Harbin city and collided with a bus. Debris from the collision caused a nearby farm vehicle to overturn, police say.

The driver of the truck was killed instantly and the driver of the bus died on the way to a local hospital. All the injured have been hospitalized.

Local police have set up a special team to investigate into the cause of the accident.
