11 Allied Troops Killed in Missile Attack in Afghanistan

At least 11 troops of the US-led coalition were feared dead and 18 others injured critically when 10 remote controlled missiles hit the residential complex of the allies in Gardez, Paktia province in Afghanistan on Sunday, the local press reported on Monday.

At least 11 troops of the US-led coalition were feared dead and 18 others injured critically when 10 remote controlled missiles hit the residential complex of the allies in Gardez, Paktia province in Afghanistan on Sunday, the local press reported on Monday.

According to sources across the Pak-Afghan border, unknown militants attacked the residential area with 10 remote controlled missiles in the wee hours on Sunday.

After the attack, the US-led forces started search operation tonab the assailants but they could not succeed in finding any clue.

In recent days, US-led allied forces have been targeted by al-Qaeda and Taliban elements throughout Eastern Afghanistan and so far non of the attackers are apprehended.
